Shop of the Week! Crowe Shea Fashions

What fuels the passion to create for a lady who proclaims herself a professional hooker? Some understanding comes when you read from the about page  in the Crowe Shea Fashions shop.

"Growing up I was blessed with family members who enjoyed teaching me their favorite handicrafts - at least that's how I remember it. The reality may have been that I annoyed the crap out of them until they showed me how to do what they were doing.
Whatever version of history you choose to accept, the fact is thanks to cheap mass production, most of them have gone the way of the dinosaur. However I still cling tightly to my favorite: crochet. It may be fuddy duddy and equated with doilies, but ever since my mom taught me my first stitches I have been, well, hooked. I love the ability to create something beautiful with just some yarn and a hook. The meditative repetition of stitch after stitch is soothing. And I can't deny that I absolutely enjoy hearing those words, "Wow! That's crochet?" These things fuel my desire to create fun and unexpected items that will be enjoyed by others as much as I enjoyed making them."

By the way the bears are not included but make great models, don't you think?

Every thing in the shop, the hats, the scarves, the stuffed animals, the grocery bag holders, is hooked up to be loved a long time.

Shop of the Week Lanmom Originals on Etsy

The quote below is from the shop profile of Lanmom Originals on Etsy. Can you tell she likes to crochet? What I will share with you today is just a small part of the talents Nona brings to the products in her shop which includes handcrafted soaps, seed bead crochet, upcycled bracelets and more.
I love crochet. Well, I love most everything, but I REALLY love crochet. Especially when it gives me the chance to work in unusual mediums with unusual materials. Thus, you're likely to see a lot of not-too-common crochet items here. And some more common ones. And some other things, too. If it looks interesting, I'll try it. If it works, you'll see it here. It's just who I am!
This week I am sharing a new line of headbands from Lanmom Originals. She has put a twist in the style meant to bring out your inner diva in some great color combinations.

Aren't they lovely. I think the one in the middle is my favorite. Which one would be yours?

As always I will leave you some links so you can shop or connect.

Cozy

I have tried many different things. In the past I poured greenware in a ceramics shop, I learned how to do western carving on leather, I have dabbled in tole or folk art painting along with sewing clothes, embroidery, the basics of tatting and quilting. I love needlework best of all the creative outlets I have explored. Most of the work you will see here reflect that love and will be knitted or crocheted.
From my profile you can see that I have tried a little bit of a lot of different things. I always work on things thinking my best work is yet to come.  In the next week or so I will start loading my Zibbet shop with the shawls, infinity scarves and more that I have been creating through the summer.

I will share today a couple of things currently in my shop.

I am very glad to be a part of Group 2020 and encourage you to check out their shops too. Keep in mind that the holiday and gift giving season will be here soon. If you are looking to create or hoping to find something unique that is vintage or handmade you want to shop now or the best may be gone.
